Feature
Payment and Deposit Links
Where a booking needs a deposit, the system sends a secure payment link from your existing provider. Card details are never read aloud, captured or stored by the call flow.
How payment is handled
- A secure link is generated by your payment provider
- The link is sent by message during the call
- The customer pays through the provider’s own page
- Confirmation updates the booking automatically
- No card data passes through the conversation
Payment Stays With Your Payment Provider
The safest way to take a deposit during a phone call is not to take it during the phone call. The system creates a link, the customer completes payment on your provider’s secure page, and the confirmation flows back to the booking.
That arrangement keeps card handling entirely within the environment your provider already operates and audits. It also means we make no claims about payment security standards, because the payment does not touch us.
Practically, it works well. Customers are used to paying by link, it takes under a minute, and the booking is confirmed while they are still on the call.
What It Delivers
Deposits actually get paid
Sending the link during the call converts far better than emailing it afterwards.
Commitment reduces no-shows
A paid deposit changes attendance behaviour more reliably than any reminder.
No card data in the call
Nothing sensitive is spoken, transcribed or retained, which removes a whole category of risk.
Reconciliation is automatic
Payment confirmation attaches to the booking rather than being matched manually later.
How It Works
Rules defined
You decide which bookings require a deposit, how much, and what happens if it is not paid.
Link generated
Your payment provider creates the link with the correct amount and reference attached.
Sent during the call
The customer receives it by message and can complete payment before hanging up.
Booking updated
Payment confirmation marks the booking as secured, or the hold expires under your rules.
Where Deposits Matter
Event venues
Holding a date without a deposit is how venues lose a Saturday to a booking that evaporates.
Event venuesCatering companies
Confirmation deposits separate genuine bookings from enquiries still shopping around.
Catering companiesDeployment Notes
Deposit rules are usually simple for a single business: one amount, one policy, described under small business deployments.
Networks apply consistent policies with local pricing, covered under franchise deployments. Related booking capabilities are set out in the feature library.
Payment Questions
Can it take card details over the phone?
No, deliberately. Payment happens on your provider’s secure page through a link, and no card data enters the conversation.
Which payment providers work?
Any that support generating payment links through an API. We confirm your specific provider during scoping.
What if the customer does not pay?
Your rule applies: the slot is released after a set period, held provisionally, or flagged for your team to chase.
Can it issue refunds?
No. Refunds are a commercial decision and stay entirely with your team and your payment platform.
Are payment amounts flexible?
They follow your published deposit rules. The system does not negotiate amounts or apply discretionary discounts.
