Lead Qualification
Your best salesperson asks the same six questions on every call. Lead qualification asks them consistently, records the answers in a structure your team can act on, and routes the enquiry accordingly.
Typical qualifying fields
- What the caller needs and for what purpose
- Timeline and urgency
- Budget range or service tier
- Location, property or entity type
- How they found you
Consistency Is the Whole Point
Most businesses already know what they need to establish before an enquiry is worth a consultation. The problem is that the questions get asked properly on a quiet Tuesday and skipped entirely during a busy Saturday.
Qualification removes that variance. Every caller is asked the same things in the same order, and the answers arrive in the same fields, which makes comparison possible for the first time. You can see which enquiry sources produce serious buyers rather than guessing.
Questions are conversational, not an interrogation. The flow asks what it needs, accepts vague answers where a caller genuinely does not know, and stops when it has enough.
What It Delivers
Consultations are not wasted
Your team spends its time on enquiries that fit, rather than discovering the mismatch after forty minutes.
High-value leads are flagged
Enquiries meeting your criteria can be transferred live rather than added to a callback list.
Follow-up is prioritised properly
Your team knows which enquiries to work first because the data is comparable.
Marketing gets real feedback
Source and qualification data together show which channels produce genuine business.
How Qualification Runs
Criteria agreed
We take the questions your best salesperson already asks and turn them into a defined field set.
Questions asked naturally
The flow gathers the answers conversationally, adapting to what the caller volunteers first.
Enquiry scored
Answers are matched against your thresholds, producing a category rather than a subjective impression.
Routed by outcome
Strong enquiries transfer or book immediately; others are captured for follow-up in the right order.
Where Qualification Pays
Interior design firms
Property type, budget and timeline decide whether a showroom slot is worth committing.
Interior design firmsReal estate agencies
Buyer and tenant enquiries need different questions, and viewings are expensive to waste.
Real estate agenciesCatering companies
Date, headcount, venue and budget are the entire basis of a quotation.
Catering companiesWhat Qualification Is Not
The system does not decide that someone is not worth serving. It records factual answers against criteria you set, and those criteria should describe fit with your service rather than assumptions about the person calling.
We also recommend against hard rejection. A stated budget frequently changes once scope is discussed, so flagging an enquiry as lower priority is almost always better than turning it away on the call.
Deployment patterns for different team sizes are described under growing SME deployments and high call volume deployments, and related capabilities sit in the feature library.
Qualification Questions
How many questions is too many?
Beyond five or six, callers start to disengage. We usually recommend capturing the minimum needed to prioritise, and leaving the rest to your consultant.
Will it turn callers away?
Only if you configure it to, and we generally advise against it. Flagging priority works better than rejecting on the call.
Can different services have different questions?
Yes. Each enquiry type can have its own question set, which is usually more effective than one universal script.
What if the caller does not know their budget?
The flow accepts that and records it rather than pressing. An honest unknown is more useful than a number the caller invented.
Can we change the criteria later?
Yes, and most clients do after reviewing the first month of data. Adjusting thresholds is a configuration change, not a rebuild.
